Hello everyone !
Today I would like to recommend you another beautiful waterfall : Kanto Lampo Waterfall. It is located in the Village Beng, in Gianyar District, (12 kilometers) about 30min drive from Ubud.
To access Kanto Lampo Waterfall you have to pay an entry fee of about IDR 10 000 / person. If you go by motorbike, there is a small parking lot at the entrance. But if you come by car you can park it a little further along the road.
Once there, you will have to get down a few stairs (as always in Bali 🙂 ) surrounded by lush green vegetation and decorated with pretty balinese umbrellas. On the right side you will also see some carvings covered in moss. Before your reach the river and the waterfall itself, there is a bathroom where you can change and put your swimming suit on.
Here you have a choice, you can either go right to head straight to the waterfall, or left to explore the riverbanks.
To go to the waterfall, you will have to go down natural stairs carved in the rock, but don’t worry there is a handrail and there are always locals happy to help you down if you are afraid to slip.
It is not the highest waterfall in Bali, but it is quite large and the water flows beautifully on the rock cliff and you can climb on the rock to take pictures. The river is not very deep but the water is cloudy so be careful as you cannot see where you step. The water flow can change depending if it rained the days before your visit.
As always when visiting a waterfall, don’t forget to bring a bag to put your wet swimming suit and replacement clothes. Surely you must bring a camera to capture these magical moments but make sure to protect it from the mist !
